Job summary

The St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust seeks an HR Advisor to join the People Team. You will provide expert HR advice across employee relations, supporting Headteachers and senior leaders both remotely and in person.

Key duties include ensuring compliance with employment law and Trust policies, monitoring SLA/KPIs, safeguarding processes, and offering proactive HR support across 25 academies. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced HR professional with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of school terms and conditions would be highly advantageous.
• Previous experience in the education sector is not essential, but safeguarding awareness helps.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support to academies across a wide range of employee relations matters, including capability, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, restructuring, safeguarding, dignity at work, equality and attendance-related cases.
• Support academies in ensuring compliance with employment legislation and Trust policies, delivering consistent and pragmatic HR guidance.
• Assist in delivery and monitoring of the HR Service Level Agreement (SLA) and KPIs, ensuring high-quality service.
• Support safeguarding procedures, including the Single Central Record, to safeguard pupils.
• Review and verify contractual variations and other employment-related changes for accuracy and compliance.
• Build effective relationships with leaders and colleagues across the Trust, providing responsive, professional service.
