Job summary

Randstad UK is recruiting Cover Supervisors to support partner secondary schools across Chester, including City Centre, Upton, Hoole, Blacon, Christleton, Saltney, Boughton and Handbridge, starting immediately after the term break.

If you bring strong classroom presence, experience with young people, and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, you can join a flexible role with long-term, day-to-day supply, or part-time options, with competitive daily rates and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or ready to obtain one)
• Experience with young people (youth work, coaching, support work, university, or school-based)
• Strong confidence and clear communication in front of students

Responsibilities

• Supervise pre-set lessons and ensure students complete their assigned work.
• Maintain a positive, orderly, and focused classroom environment.
• Manage student behaviour in line with school policies.
• Assist students with questions and keep them engaged throughout the lesson.
• Collect completed work at the end of the lesson and pass it to the department.
• Take student attendance accurately at the start of each period
