Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Sefton and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining classroom discipline, and supporting student learning in busy classrooms.

Ideal candidates will have prior work with children or young people, strong communication, and an Enhanced DBS. Flexible timetable options, weekly pay, and fast onboarding are offered to help you start quickly.

Qualifications

• Proven prior experience working directly with children or young people.
• High level of confidence in whole-class management and communication.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-planned lessons efficiently across various subjects during teacher absences.
• Deliver engaging educational content while keeping students focused and on-task.
• Maintain strong, positive behaviour management in line with school policies.
• Support student learning and foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Complete accurate attendance registers and report back to core teaching staff.
