Job summary

Teton is hiring an Engineer to own the systems, tooling, and infrastructure that enable shipping to thousands of edge devices. The role focuses on fleet provisioning, OTA updates, observability, device bring-up, and CI/CD tooling, with close collaboration to hardware and firmware teams.

You’ll work in a hospital IT context, navigating restricted networks and offline periods while driving robust infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Must have production Linux experience, preferably embedded/edge
• Proficient in Rust and/or JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python
• Experience with device fleets at scale: provisioning, OTA updates, remote access
• Familiarity with Linux internals: systemd, kernel modules, networking
• Experience with observability tools and designing what to measure
• Comfortable with hardware debugging alongside hardware engineers
• Understanding of protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, MQTT
• Pragmatic about networks you don’t control in hospital IT environments
• Strong problem-solving and independent work ability
• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson and Linux for Tegra is a plus
• Experience with Yocto, Debian packaging, or custom image builds is a plus
• Experience in medical device or healthcare tech is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build and run fleet provisioning, monitoring, and management for devices in the field
• Own OTA update workflows, staged rollouts, health checks, and safe rollbacks
• Design telemetry, logging, and alerting to detect device degradation early
• Collaborate with hardware/firmware to reproduce field issues on the bench
• Develop CI/CD, image builds, and internal tooling for rapid hardware deployment
• Maintain clear, detailed technical docs for team collaboration
• Ensure secure, reliable operation in constrained hospital IT environments
