Job summary

Teton.ai is seeking a strong backend engineer to scale the core infrastructure powering its AI healthcare platform. You will work on systems that ingest and process real-time data from thousands of edge devices in care facilities, powering critical alerts and workflows for healthcare staff.

You will collaborate across distributed systems, APIs, databases, MQTT, and cloud infrastructure, focusing on reliability, observability, and performance to deliver a robust production platform used daily by

Qualifications

Building and operating large-scale backend or distributed systems.
Designing reliable real-time data pipelines.
Working with event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems.
Scaling APIs and services handling high-throughput workloads.
Operating production infrastructure with strong reliability requirements.
Database design and performance optimization.
Cloud infrastructure and deployment tooling.
Debugging complex production issues under pressure.

Responsibilities

Build and operate large-scale backend or distributed systems powering real-time data processing.
Design and optimize real-time data pipelines and events.
Develop APIs and backend services with high throughput and reliability.
Manage databases, storage, and cloud deployment to support scalable platforms.
Ensure observability, monitoring, and performance across systems.
