Job summary

Rowden in Bristol, UK is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to join our growing AI capability. You will move beyond pure implementation to design AI pipelines, engage in customer-facing work, and shape end-to-end solutions with mentorship from senior architects.

You’ll help shape problem statements, design AI workflows, and support bids while maturing ownership over time in a flexible, hybrid environment that supports national security context.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as an AI or ML engineer with model training and deployment.
• Knowledge of agentic AI/LLM patterns, ML model serving, monitoring or data pipeline design.
• Ability to think beyond implementation and consider the wider system architecture.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support design of end-to-end AI pipelines (data ingestion to deployment) under senior guidance.
• Assist in designing agentic AI systems, including tool orchestration and memory management.
• Integrate AI/ML solutions with existing platforms and applications.
• Develop expertise in the MLOps lifecycle (retraining cadences, versioning, drift detection, rollback).
• Contribute to technical proposals, diagrams, and solution docs for bids and pre-sales.
• Research tooling, platform and hosting options; communicate trade-offs for architectural decisions.
• Identify technical risks (data quality, drift, integration failure, AI safety).
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data engineers and SMEs to align constraints with designs.
• Understand scope, cost, planning and assurance across the programme lifecycle.
• Gradually own discrete solution components as experience grows.
