Creative Technologist

At Expedia Creative Lab, you'll help shape how technology powers our brand across global marketing communications and programs, turning creative ideas into scalable reality.

We're seeking a Creative Technologist who thrives at the intersection of creative, marketing, and technology. In this art-meets-science role, you'll architect the systems and tools that enable our creative and marketing teams to deliver consistent, high-impact brand experiences at scale across digital video, copywriting, photography, growth, CRM, and beyond. You'll transform our workflows and operations through AI integration, automation, and innovative technology solutions that unlock new possibilities for Expedia brands.

As a key collaborator, you’ll partner with designers, strategists, developers, and brand leaders to conceptualize, prototype, and implement imaginative solutions. Your role will ensure that our creative projects not only achieve the highest quality but also deliver efficiency and scalability in today’s fast-evolving landscape.

In this role, you will focus on;

  • Innovation and Technology Integration :

  • Research, adopt, and integrate AI-driven tools (e.g., generative design, GPT models, Runway ML) to optimize workflows for video production, copywriting, photography, and campaign management.

  • Explore emerging technologies to uncover opportunities that redefine brand marketing strategies.

  • Creative Development and Prototyping :

  • Imagine and prototype unique, next-generation digital experiences that elevate brand storytelling.

  • Develop a variety of creative assets, from interactive visuals to AR/VR applications and generative designs, using tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, and WebGL.

  • Collaboration and Execution :

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams—including strategy, creative, production, and client services—to align technical solutions with broader brand goals.

  • Seamlessly integrate creative technologies into the Brand Marketing & Creative Team’s workflows, ensuring consistency across global campaigns.

  • Scalability and Process Optimization :

  • Build systems and frameworks that scale creative outputs efficiently, leveraging AI and automation for high-volume tasks like localization, demand capture, and dynamic creative assets.

  • Create intuitive dashboards and toolkits to encourage team-wide adoption of new technologies .

Experience and qualifications;

  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in creative technology roles.

  • Advanced knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Runway ML, TensorFlow Magenta) and generative AI models (e.g., GPT-3, StyleGAN).

  • Proficiency in web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and animation tools (e.g., WebGL, CSS-based animation).

  • Hands-on experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, Cinema 4D, and After Effects.

  • Experience designing scalable creative systems for global digital markets.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences with clarity and precision.

  • Proven experience: 3-5+ years working in creative technology, media arts, marketing operations, or related technical roles

  • AI fluency: Practical experience implementing AI workflows to enhance creative production
  • Basic DevOps knowledge (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and familiarity with Python or NodeJS.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate between technical and creative stakeholders
  • Your portfolio: A compelling showcase of your work in creative technology, systems design, and AI implementation
