Associate Director - Energy Planning


Locations: London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester


Salary: £65,000+


Penguin Recruitment is pleased to support a leading UK Independent Infrastructure and Property Consultancy specializing in Environmental, Planning, and Sustainability.


As an Associate Director in the Infrastructure Projects and Programmes team, you will play a central role in shaping energy projects with responsibilities including project delivery, business development, and strategic growth in the energy sector.


Your duties will include guiding the planning and consent processes (DCOs, EIAs, and more), supporting key infrastructure initiatives, and building lasting client relationships. You should bring sound judgment, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple high-profile projects from inception to completion. Experience across other infrastructure sectors is welcome but not required.


We seek someone who thrives in dynamic, complex environments—someone capable of leading teams, influencing outcomes, and contributing to long-term strategy, especially in advancing the energy agenda.


What you'll bring:
