Partnerships Associate Director

Overview of Job

This Partnerships Associate Director role is a key link between our Global Investment specialists and GroupM agency Client Account teams, working to define and deliver joint business plan (JBP) partnership opportunities for key global clients. This role supports the Director in delivering Global JBPs for Colgate Palmolive, with potential to work on additional clients within the group. It involves working closely with Strategy leads and Account teams to identify relevant media partners, develop integrated investment strategies, and deliver strategic client partnerships.

The Partnerships Associate Director will work with the Director and account team to define client JBPs with media partners such as Google, The Trade Desk, Amazon, Meta, and TikTok, to maximize client benefits. They will manage deployment and delivery of these benefits throughout the year, coordinating with local and regional teams to ensure consistent execution and success.

This role requires high levels of coordination and organization due to the complex client and agency structure.

Deep understanding of our client’s businesses and application of digital (and offline to a lesser extent) landscape and strategic knowledge are essential to deliver effective plans aligned with client objectives and the evolving entertainment marketing landscape.

Responsibilities include managing partner relationships, working with key digital vendors, ensuring measurement and reporting of digital investments, and tracking the effectiveness of JBPs.

Reporting to the Global Head of Partnerships.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Collaborate with GroupM and agency departments to deliver innovative, media-first, cross-media global JBPs.
  • Lead global digital JBPs, identifying, creating, and growing partnership opportunities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of media landscape and leverage first-mover opportunities with global partners.
  • Support development and monitoring of opportunities in Diversity, Sustainability, and Inclusion to grow client spend.
  • Identify partnership growth areas and work with client teams to deliver and activate global JBPs.
  • Support deployment and monitoring of JBPs across markets and regions to meet targets and unlock value.

External Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, media vendors, proprietary media, and internal teams to ensure collaboration and delivery.
  • Present and sell partnerships persuasively and confidently to clients and stakeholders.

Delivery Excellence

  • Present confidently with impact.
  • Share global marketplace updates proactively and coordinate with markets.

General tasks:

  • Understand GroupM’s products and services to increase client adoption.
  • Support in delivering best-in-class JBPs with client value, innovation, and excellence.
  • Develop and deploy global investment strategies in collaboration with regional and local leads.
  • Support the rollout of JBPs and their benefits across markets.
  • Oversee delivery of JBP workstreams, engaging stakeholders to ensure benefits are utilized.
  • Establish operational excellence for JBPs, including structured engagement and review cadences.
  • Partner with global media quality processes and governance.
  • Manage monthly partner investment pacing to meet spend thresholds.
  • Coordinate client QBRs and JBP reviews with regions and markets.
