Join a global IT services and consulting leader as a Platform Engineering Lead to play a pivotal role in delivering transformative technology within one of the UK's most respected banking groups. In this role, you will be at the heart of technology strategy, mentoring high-performing engineering teams focused on delivering modern, cloud-based applications across digital platforms. You will drive technical leadership, enable a DevSecOps culture, and contribute to delivery governance aligning with the bank's QBR.

Responsibilities:

• Champion knowledge sharing across and within labs.
• Drive technical leadership, engineering excellence, interventions strategy, and capability development relevant to platform priorities.
• Contribute to delivery governance aligning with the bank's QBR, big room planning, agile events, and ceremonies.

Essential skills:

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks, API/Microservices architecture, and Cloud application development.
• Proven experience in developing modern technological applications and designing/building channel experiences.
• Experience mentoring large technical teams and evangelizing emerging tech practices and trends.
• Strong innovation, strategy, and thought leadership capabilities.
• Ability to monitor, measure, and improve engineering maturity among feature teams.
• Public Cloud experience.
• Leadership in fostering engineering culture within teams.
• Experience driving engineering in a product-based organization with an agile mindset.
• Experience promoting DevSecOps and automation cultures within engineering teams.

Desirable skills:

• Experience in the insurance domain is highly desirable.
• Skills in dependency management, stakeholder engagement, and storytelling.
• Knowledge of tech debt and risk management.
