Job Title: Head of Platform Engineering

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Platform Engineering Manager to join a leading technology organization. You will lead the development and optimization of key application platforms. Your responsibilities include building and managing a high-performing platform engineering team, defining and executing platform strategy, automating business processes, and delivering scalable solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

You will collaborate with business sponsors and operational leaders to gather requirements and ensure the delivery of platform solutions that drive customer engagement and streamline workflows. Your role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of secure, reliable, and scalable platforms for customer-facing applications and shared service automation.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the adoption and optimization of enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow and low-code tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, PEGA, UIPath).
  2. Establishing platform architecture best practices for robustness, security, and integration.
  3. Ensuring smooth operations through monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
  4. Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
  5. Maintaining strong relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  6. Measuring and enhancing platform performance using key metrics.
  7. Supporting the organization’s shift towards a value-based operating model.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in platform engineering, especially with customer engagement technologies and enterprise platforms like ServiceNow and low-code tools.
  • Deep understanding of digital platform architecture, microservices, API integrations, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred qualifications include experience with AI chatbots, call center solutions, eCommerce systems, and familiarity with ITSM frameworks and digital security best practices.
