We are seeking a Therapy Assistant to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic team on the inpatient wards. In this role, you will work under direct supervision to undertake various activities supporting our Physiotherapy/Therapy teams in providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities include working with clinicians during assessments or treatments, supporting patients with prescribed exercises or mobility plans, undertaking administrative tasks, and maintaining equipment and stock levels.
It is an exciting time to join our service as the Trust is committed to becoming a designated major trauma centre over the next 5 years, and we have recently opened a new dedicated on-site elective Orthopaedic surgery facility.
You will receive training, supervision, and an annual appraisal, with opportunities for personal development through our competency framework. We value our staff highly and invest in their growth to ensure continuous service improvement.
Post holders will be included in the orthopaedic inpatient weekend and bank holiday roster to meet the 7-day working commitment.
We operate from 8:00 – 20:00 in some areas, and staff may need to work early, late, or long shifts. The role involves a 7-day working pattern with a scheduled roster for weekends and bank holidays.
