Job Description: IT 2nd Line Support Engineer

Role Summary

The IT 2nd Line Support Engineer will be part of the IT Service Desk Team, responsible for leading and overseeing IT support across Aventum Group and its entities. The role involves supporting all IT aspects within the group, managing tickets via Zendesk, and ensuring SLA adherence.

Role Responsibilities

  • Maintain a 99% SLA compliance.
  • Follow correct procedures for joiners, changers, and leavers.
  • Provide end-user support for IT applications.
  • Administer cloud-based applications, including Microsoft 365.
  • Support and set up IT equipment such as mobile phones, PCs, routers, printers, and scanners.
  • Run scheduled IT processes like system backups.
  • Maintain hardware stock levels and keep IT areas organized.
  • Ensure all IT hardware in the London office is operational each morning.

Assist the IT Services Team Leader with:

  • IT projects
  • Domain and application management
  • Hardware management
  • Additional duties as assigned

Role Requirements

  • Experience in the insurance sector
  • Experience with Policy Admin Systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
  • IT qualifications are advantageous

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools like Teams
  • Experience in a service environment under pressure
  • Team-oriented and flexible with working hours and tasks
  • Willingness to travel to remote sites as needed
  • Good time management skills
  • Proactive and responsive approach
