Job description

Details:

A remote Wiring and Harness Installation Engineer position is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time, direct role with benefits. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Wiring and Harness Installation Engineer duties include:

1. Responsible for harness routing and clipping solutions within the assigned sector.
2. Development of 3D models and 2D drawings of pre- and post-production parts, assemblies, installations, sub-systems, and integrations for rotocraft & fixed wing electrical design.
3. Supporting customer in electrical hardware integration and internal wiring from design to production phases.
4. Interfacing with customers, project management, and engineering teams to update task status and prioritize tasks.
5. Travel up to 25% or less.

Required qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in an accredited engineering field or equivalent experience.
2. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
3. Experience with harness routing design in CAD software SolidWorks.
4. Ability to interpret engineering requirements and determine solutions.
5. Effective communication skills with internal teams and external customers.
6. Efficient time management and accurate design production.
7. Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and adapt to evolving priorities.
8. Preferred but not required: experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors.

Preferred skills:

• Analysis skills for issue resolution and mitigation.
• Experience with EMI/EMC, radiation analysis, grounding, and bonding analysis.
• Development of verification reports supporting vehicle specifications.
• Background or interest in aerospace through education or work experience.
• Familiarity with GD&T, ASME standards, SAE AS50881, ITAR compliance.
• Experience with CAD software UGNX, Mentor Graphics, Creo, Catia V5, Inventor, etc.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $105,000, along with benefits such as health care, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), education assistance, and paid time off. Compensation factors include education, experience, location, and discipline.
