Location: San Diego, CA / Remote (Daybreak Approved Remote Locations: CA, WA, TX, NY)

Salary Range: $85,000 - $140,000, pay may vary based on location.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Platform, to support ongoing game releases and updates.

Responsibilities

1. Work with limited supervision and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
2. Maintain and expand existing systems.
3. Develop and integrate new product flows.
4. Add new functionalities to existing systems, web services, and microservices.
5. Refactor code into current technologies.
6. Provide feedback on technology direction.
7. Research and resolve customer issues.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Java, with strong data structures, design, and algorithms.
• Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Web applications, services, microservices, API design.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP, TCP, UDP), SOAP, XML, JSON.
• SQL and NoSQL database familiarity.
• Linux tools and scripting experience.
• Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Experience

• Languages: C++, C#, Python, PHP.
• Concurrency/multithreaded programming.
• Java performance tuning.
• Java web frameworks like Apache Struts 2.
• Web technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js.
• Experience with web APIs and cloud technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Docker.
• CI/CD systems like Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub.
• Designing scalable, high concurrency systems on Linux.
• Monitoring and alerting systems.
