Job description

Building a sustainable tomorrow

BAM FM is recruiting a Helpdesk Operator on a full-time, permanent basis to support school & commercial projects in the South West. The role is based at Blaise High School, Bristol, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Working hours start between 7.30am and 9.00am and finish between 4.30pm and 6.00pm.

Your mission

  1. Issue reactive and planned tasks to site teams and monitor each task through to completion.
  2. Contact and chase sub-contractors for attendance and paperwork.
  3. Ensure compliance with strict contract SLA, completing tasks within the agreed timescales.
  4. Monitor open tasks daily, chasing contractors and staff as needed.
  5. Provide administrative support to projects, ensuring notes are updated with the latest information.
  6. Log bookings for internal and external clients.
  7. Serve as the first point of contact via telephone and email for clients.
  8. Liaise regarding Purchase Orders for Reactive and Planned tasks.

Who are we looking for?

  • Good telephone manner and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • A positive and flexible approach to work.
  • IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Concept Evolution is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
