Job description

As a Partner Development Manager (PDM), you will have a demonstrated record of success in partner relations and account management for large strategic/named partners. The PDM must have a bias towards action, be proactive, and able to work independently. This includes being hands-on, team-oriented, entrepreneurial, with business acumen and leadership qualities, possessing excellent communication skills, passion, dedication, and creativity to achieve company goals and revenue in the specified territory through designated partners. The PDM must possess integrity and confidence and embrace the vibrant culture of SailPoint.

The PDM is responsible for creating, enabling, maintaining, and expanding partnerships and routes to market with SailPoint’s largest partners. You will act as a liaison between SailPoint’s GTM organization and our partners' GTM teams. Your role involves developing market strategies to build pipeline, monitor performance against KPIs, and establishing relationships with key executives within SailPoint and partner organizations.

Responsibilities
  1. Own the complete partner strategy for named partners, including business plans, marketing plans, and technical certification plans.
  2. Build GTM solutions and offers.
  3. Align with executive and functional teams across the organization.
  4. Develop and drive mutually agreed-upon KPIs and expected results.
  5. Create capacity plans to ensure the partner can deliver successful customer implementations.
  6. Coordinate with the delivery success team to ensure capacity and quality standards are met.
  7. Manage enablement and communication efforts.
  8. Serve as the point of contact for localized enablement for partners.
  9. Promote and evangelize partners to SailPoint sellers.
  10. Coordinate partner promotion and marketing activities to maximize SailPoint's market coverage.
  11. Identify customer sales opportunities within the partner network and collaborate with regional partner managers and field sales to manage these opportunities.
  12. Perform targeted account mapping.
  13. Prepare quarterly assessments of the partner program and report findings to sales leadership.
Requirements
  1. 10+ years of experience in Partner Management and leadership.
  2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, business, or sales-related field preferred but not required.
  3. Proven success in a partner-oriented sales environment.
  4. Understanding of enterprise technology, innovations, and new technologies.
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  6. Ability to apply analytical and data-driven metrics for business improvements and insights.
  7. Experience managing partner activities and implementing process optimizations.
  8. Ability to manage multiple projects in a cross-functional environment.
  9. Willingness to travel approximately 50% for business.
  10. Adept at addressing cultural and geographic differences in global strategy implementation.
