One of the market leading speciality chemical distributors to the personal care, pharmaceutical, and chemicals industries is currently hiring for an Internal Sales Representative.

Are you a science graduate who loves chatting to people, talking business, driving processes, and building relationships?

Maybe you're fresh from university with a science degree, and some sales, bar work, or customer service experience?

Or perhaps you have a few years of experience in sales, marketing, or account management after graduation?

The role is vacant due to a long-term member retiring from a long career with the business. It offers an excellent opportunity to join a values-driven team with a warm client base, known for their excellent customer service and providing some of the very best products on the market.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with R&D and technical marketing teams regularly regarding marketing-leading raw material chemical products.
• Provide high-quality customer service, maintaining and increasing business with a defined set of customers within the cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, and wider chemical industries.
• Support the external sales team by assisting their customers when they are out of office.
• Promote and sell products to customers.
• Calculate quotes, send them to customers, follow up on samples, quotes, projects, and maintain a healthy project pipeline.
• Develop and nurture relationships, always seeking to build rapport.
• Conduct and record market analysis.
• This role is primarily internal, with occasional travel for customer meetings and industry events when appropriate.
• Join a highly collaborative and supportive sales team.

Your traits and what you need:

• Some experience in sales, customer service, or marketing involving customer interaction.
• Industry experience within the personal care, cosmetic, household chemical, pharmaceutical, or wider chemical industries is highly desirable.
• Clear, concise, and articulate communication skills, both verbal and written.
