Trading since 1989, we're the UK's largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. To put it into numbers, we complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors from Land’s End to John O’Groats. This gives us the flexibility to offer nationwide coverage combined with invaluable local knowledge.

We are currently recruiting for a brand new role here at . This is an exciting time to join the business as our new Operations Manager within the Home Survey division.

You will be responsible for the management of the operations across the Home Survey Business including implementing key initiatives and developing new processes and systems. You will find new ways of working that create efficiencies and will set the business up for growth and success.

The Operations Manager will coordinate all the cross functional business activities to ensure the effective running of the Home Survey division.

Responsibilities

  1. Build a strong working relationship with the Business lead, Head of Marketing and Head of Business Development to understand the strategic plans for the division and advise on the associated operational implications.
  2. Perform a current state analysis of the operational needs of all activities and processes supporting the business lead.
  3. Work with the Project Delivery Manager, Business Analyst and functional leads to identify a rolling program of improvements to drive operational efficiencies, performance and growth.
  4. Identify the business KPIs needed to understand and track the operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  5. Liaise with other functions such as Operations (Surveying) Finance, HR, Propositions, Data, IT, Risk, Technical, and Marketing to coordinate the key activities and services provided by these teams and set corresponding SLAs.
  6. Identify blockers, issues and propose solutions.
  7. Work in collaboration with the risk and compliance department to make sure the processes and practice meet all compliance requirements.
  8. Work with the Business Lead and Finance on the development of operational budgets.

Skills Required

  1. 3+ years of proven success in an operations management role.
  2. Experience of delivering notable improvements in process efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Experience growing and enhancing business performance through operational excellence.
  4. Strong influencing skills and experience working in a complex or matrix operating model.
  5. Self-starter with a solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to inspire teams to deliver against the right timelines.
