Are you an ECT primary teacher who wants to network your skills in the Preston and wider Lancashire area? At Hays, we have a variety of popular and well-respected schools already seeking enthusiastic ECTs for their full-time posts. We are looking for ECTs who can teach engaging and dynamic lessons across the curriculum. The role is required to start in September 2025.

Your new role

As an ECT/NQT, you will work with various primary schools across the Wigan area. The positions we offer may require previous relevant experience, and you may be expected to follow lesson plans and deliver lessons. We offer day-to-day positions, short-term contracts, as well as long-term roles lasting more than a term, which could lead to permanent employment.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you must hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable, and able to start immediately. A good knowledge of the EYFS, KS1, or KS2 curriculum is also expected.
