Job summary

Pretty You London is seeking an Ecommerce Trading Manager to own the commercial performance of our direct-to-consumer and marketplace channels, translating the brand plan into a trading roadmap and holding it to account week by week.

This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring proven experience in premium consumer ecommerce, strong data fluency in Shopify and Excel, and a collaborative mindset to grow a legacy fashion and wellness brand.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in ecommerce trading or growth roles within a premium consumer brand.
• P&L accountability for channel revenue, not just contribution.
• Strong fluency in margin, media efficiency, average order value and discount dynamics.
• Experience with promotional and markdown planning within a brand framework.
• Marketplace trading experience (ideally across platforms like Mirakl).
• Commercial fluency in Shopify with data interrogation.
• Ability to manage an agency to scope and results.
• Advanced Excel skills for analysis.
• Collaborative and proactive mindset to build a legacy brand.
• Experience with Linnworks or similar OMS.
• Experience trading apparel/homeware or multi-size seasonal categories.
• Experience trading against fixed stock position.

Responsibilities

• Own weekly and monthly sales and margin performance across direct-to-consumer and marketplace channels.
• Build and lead the promotional and markdown calendar, protecting price integrity.
• Own the pricing architecture across channels to ensure coherence and elevated brand presence.
• Manage gross and contribution margin, discount rate, and average order value.
• Own the rolling sales forecast, variance to plan, and the weekly trading rhythm.
• Collaborate with Buying and Operations on stock-to-sell strategy.
• Trade marketplace partnerships, including John Lewis, across offers and channel margin.
• Set the commercial return for paid channels and hold the agency to account.
• Coordinate with Ecommerce & Marketing on on-site merchandising and conversion priorities.
• Ensure trading and marketing calendars are integrated into one plan.
• Foster a culture of commercial rigour and curiosity within the team.
