Job summary

C Cotton Traders is seeking an Ecommerce Merchandiser to support our ecommerce merchandising team in driving website and app performance through effective product merchandising, optimisation and trading activities.

You will contribute to product launches, trading analysis, content planning and discovery, ensuring customers can easily find the right products while supporting commercial and conversion objectives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in an ecommerce, digital merchandising or similar role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Google Analytics.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce merchandising principles and customer journey optimisation.
• Experience with ecommerce platforms, CMS or merchandising tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise product and homepage categories in line with seasonal plans.
• Monitor and optimise visibility and performance of bestselling and slow-selling products.
• Recommend improvements to categorisation, site search, navigation and filtering.
• Produce and analyse trade reports for website and App.
• Curate product selections for homepages and inspiration areas.
• Brief creative and web teams on content requirements and manage delivery.
• Conduct competitor analysis and seasonal reviews.
• Align with merchandising and CRM teams for priority products and stories.
• Support reactive trade initiatives to drive conversion.
• Monitor trading performance reports to inform marketing and merchandising plans.
• Support SEO best practices across website categories, product listings and navigation.
• Collaborate with web development and content teams to implement SEO in updates.

Role Summary

As an Ecommerce Merchandiser, you'll support the Ecommerce Merchandising team in driving website and App performance through effective product merchandising, optimisation and trading activities. You'll play a key role in product launches, trading analysis, content planning and product discovery, ensuring customers can easily find the right products while supporting commercial and conversion objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Trading

• Merchandise product and homepage categories in line with the seasonal trading calendar, marketing plan, and visual merchandising strategy.
• Monitor and optimise the visibility and performance of bestselling and slow-selling products across the website and App, using trading data and customer insights to inform recommendations.
• Recommend improvements to product categorisation, site search, navigation and filtering to enhance product discovery, customer experience and conversion.
• Produce and analyse trade reports, applying actionable insights across the website and App.

Website Content

• Curate product selections for homepages and inspiration areas in line with seasonal trading and marketing plans.
• Brief creative, copy, and web development teams on content requirements, and manage through to delivery.
• Conduct competitor analysis and seasonal reviews to inform future content plans.
• Align with the merchandising and CRM teams to select priority products and stories for digital campaigns.
• Support reactive trade initiatives through aligned merchandising to drive conversion.
• Monitor trading performance reports to inform future marketing and merchandising plans.
• Support the implementation of SEO best practices across website categories, product listings and navigation.
• Work closely with the web development and content teams to ensure SEO considerations are incorporated into website updates and new content.

• 2+ years' experience in an ecommerce, digital merchandising or similar role.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and ideally Google Analytics.
• Understanding of ecommerce merchandising principles and customer journey optimisation.
• Experience of ecommerce platforms, content management systems or merchandising tools.
• Knowledge of product optimisation, including site search, sorting, navigation and filtering would be beneficial, but is not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• A proactive self-starter and supportive team player.
• Clear and confident communicator.
• Enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn.
