We’re looking for an E-Commerce Trading Manager

to join us on a temporary contract to drive online sales performance, optimize the trading calendar, and lead commercial decision-making across our digital channels. This is a pivotal role in our growth journey, blending data, marketing, and e-commerce excellence.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

As E-Commerce Trading Manager, you will be responsible for managing the digital commercial performance of our e-commerce platform. You'll lead all aspects of online trading, including forecasting, promotional strategy, category performance, conversion optimization, and collaboration with marketing, content, and supply chain teams. Your ultimate goal is to drive revenue growth, improve margin, and create an exceptional buying experience for our B2B customers.

  • Own the digital trading calendar and drive sales through timely and targeted promotions, campaigns, and merchandising strategies.
  • Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics to optimise sales, margin, and customer engagement.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis into product/category performance and buyer behaviour to inform trading and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and suppliers to identify opportunities for growth, bundling, upsell/cross-sell, and stock clearance.
E-commerce Performance Management
  • Monitor KPIs across the site (conversion rate, AOV, bounce rate, basket abandonment, etc.) and take action to improve performance.
  • Ensure best-in-class merchandising, website optimisations and content across all product listings, categories, and promotional landing pages.
  • Support the Head of E-Commerce to deliver revenue and customer growth targets across DD Group websites.
  • Act as commercial champion for the ecommerce team, focusing on performance at both category and product level to hit the sales plan, working with Pricing and Inventory teams.
  • Support in delivering improved customer experiences and conversion-driving activities across the websites.
  • Use business and website analytics to monitor performance and KPIs and make customer-driven decisions and priorities.
  • Support go-to-market strategies for products and promotions, as well as integrated campaign delivery through end-to-end online customer experience.
  • Monitor e-commerce trends and competitor experiences, identifying opportunities for DD Group businesses.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing Manager to ensure content meets UX and SEO best practices.
  • Support communication and engagement across the business to ensure stakeholders understand digital experience improvements and that their feedback is captured and addressed.
  • Provide ad-hoc support with onsite search and merch optimisations.
