Job description

We are partnering with an established contemporary fashion brand to appoint an experienced E-commerce Manager. This is a senior, commercially focused role responsible for leading the global digital trading strategy, accelerating online growth and delivering an exceptional customer experience across all digital touchpoints.

The successful candidate will bring at least 10 years of e-commerce experience within fashion, luxury or a similarly fast-paced consumer brand. Experience managing or growing the US market is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the global e-commerce strategy, with responsibility for revenue, profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Lead the day-to-day trading of the brand’s e-commerce platform across the UK, US and international markets.
  • Develop the US digital strategy, identifying opportunities to grow customer acquisition, conversion, retention and market share.
  • Manage the annual e-commerce budget, forecasts and commercial targets.
  • Monitor daily and weekly trading performance, producing clear analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Optimise conversion rate, average order value, customer lifetime value and site performance.
  • Oversee the digital trading calendar, including product launches, campaigns, promotions and seasonal activity.
  • Partner closely with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Brand, Creative and Operations to ensure a cohesive digital strategy.
  • Lead the site merchandising strategy, ensuring product, content and storytelling are commercially effective and aligned with the brand.
  • Own the website development roadmap, working with internal teams and external agencies to improve functionality and customer experience.
  • Use customer, product and trading data to identify opportunities and drive informed commercial decisions.
  • Work with performance marketing and CRM teams to improve acquisition, retention and customer engagement.
  • Oversee internationalisation initiatives, including localisation, pricing, payments, fulfilment and returns.
  • Ensure the platform delivers a seamless, premium and brand-aligned customer journey across desktop and mobile.
  • Manage, mentor and develop the e-commerce team, creating a high-performing and collaborative environment.
  • Build and manage relationships with technology partners, agencies and third-party suppliers.
  • Stay informed of digital trends, emerging technologies and competitor activity.

Experience and Skills

  • At least 10 years’ experience within e-commerce, ideally gained in contemporary fashion, premium or luxury retail.
  • Proven experience owning a significant e-commerce channel and delivering measurable revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the US e-commerce market and its customer behaviours, trading patterns and operational considerations.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and executing international digital growth strategies.
  • Highly commercial and analytical, with strong forecasting, budgeting and reporting capabilities.
  • Advanced understanding of digital trading, conversion optimisation, customer acquisition, CRM and retention.
  • Experience working with leading e-commerce platforms, ideally Shopify Plus or a comparable platform.
  • Strong working knowledge of analytics and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics.
  • Experience managing website development, UX, testing and optimisation roadmaps.
  • Confident leading and developing teams, while remaining comfortable working hands-on.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A genuine understanding of contemporary fashion and the ability to balance brand integrity with commercial performance.

The Candidate

You will be an entrepreneurial and commercially astute e-commerce leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, founder-led or creatively driven environment and will understand how to scale a digital business without compromising the strength of the brand.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a growing global e-commerce channel and play a central role in the next stage of the brand’s international development.
