Job summary

Matalan is seeking an Ecommerce Data Analyst to drive online performance through data collection, tracking and analysis. You will transform complex web data into clear, actionable storytelling that informs business decisions within the Ecommerce and Analytics teams.

Key tasks include delivering actionable insights, building self-serve analytics tools, and collaborating with stakeholders to prioritise work that maximises value for online channels.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or with demonstrable relevant experience.
• Extensive experience with BigQuery and SQL coding.
• Strong experience with Google Analytics (GA4).
• Advanced data visualization using Power BI or Looker.

Responsibilities

• Deliver actionable insights to support online performance and commercial decisions.
• Build and manage relationships with stakeholders to understand analytical needs.
• Assess commercial impact and prioritise data-driven initiatives.
• Develop tools, reports and processes to enable self-serve analytics.
• Create automated BI and data democratisation for ecommerce teams.
• Share insights and data changes with the analytics and data science teams.
