Job summary

Matalan is seeking an Ecommerce Data Analyst to drive online performance by transforming complex web data into clear, actionable insights that influence business decisions. You will deliver critical web data insights to the Ecommerce team, translate business questions into analytical problems, and present concise findings that inform strategy and optimisations for site performance and conversion.

Within Analytics and Ecommerce, you’ll develop tools and processes that promote data democratisation

Qualifications

Educated to degree level or with demonstrable relevant experience
Proficient with BigQuery (5+ years) and SQL
Strong experience with Google Analytics GA4
Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI/Looker)
Understanding of analysis methodologies and ETL processes
Experience using AI tools to generate automated insights
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and full Microsoft 365

Responsibilities

Transform web data into clear, actionable insights for the Ecommerce team
Turn business questions into analytical problems and present concise recommendations
Develop and maintain analytical tools, reports and processes
Support analytics and ecommerce teams with data democratisation and self-serve analytics
