Job summary

Cromwell is expanding its Digital team and seeks a hands‑on Digital Business Analyst to shape delivery‑ready requirements for our B2B eCommerce platform. Hybrid role based between remote work and our Digital Hub in Leicester.

You will translate Product Owner scope into INVEST‑compliant user stories with Gherkin criteria, drive structured sessions, and ensure backlog readiness for sprint delivery across cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role within a digital or technology delivery environment.
• Proven ability to write INVEST‑compliant user stories with Gherkin‑syntax acceptance criteria (Given / When / Then).
• Strong elicitation skills with structured requirement gathering to produce complete outputs.
• Experience in Ecommerce, including product catalogues, pricing, checkout flows, and order management.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with backlog management.
• Attention to detail and ability to spot missing edge cases and dependencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to run clarification calls and document precisely.
• Fast learner; quickly applies domain knowledge to refine requirements for delivery.
• B2B Ecommerce experience including trade accounts and bulk ordering.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., BCS BA, ISTQB) or equivalent.
• Proficiency with project/collaboration tools, e.g., Figma and Miro.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead requirement sessions with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
• Surface full scope, dependencies, edge cases, and exceptions; translate into clear user stories.
• Write INVEST‑compliant stories with Given/When/Then acceptance criteria.
• Decompose large requirements into smaller stories suitable for sprint delivery.
• Maintain high‑quality backlog ready for Product Owner approval.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure acceptance criteria cover test cases and UAT.
• Guide stakeholders through UAT and clarify scope and validation criteria.
