Job description

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity to join the eCommerce team here at Joma Jewellery and Katie Loxton as an Ecommerce Development Manager. In this role, you will own and be accountable for data management, maintenance, development, and testing for our online businesses.

Within the eCommerce team, you will manage our data daily and oversee the ongoing development of multiple Magento 2 websites via our third-party agency. You will also lead the eCommerce administration team and work directly with our Head of eCommerce and Website Trade Managers to ensure data integrity, manage integrations, and deliver maintenance and projects on time, within scope, and budget.

This demanding role requires adaptability and a detail-oriented mindset to deliver top-tier website developments in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence and customer satisfaction.

The role is Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm, with an average of three days in our friendly Banbury office and the flexibility to work from home two days a week.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
  1. Manage web development agencies or individual developers, with a focus on Magento 2 environments.
  2. Oversee daily website updates via Jira, prioritizing tasks and liaising with stakeholders and developers.
  3. Create project scope documentation, ensuring all objectives, budgets, and milestones are clear and adhered to.
  4. Develop and manage project plans and delivery methodologies.
  5. Utilize extensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience, building testing boards for new developments; automation experience is a plus.
  6. Manage Magento upgrades, including security patches and full releases.
  7. Handle website data management via bulk CSV uploads.
THE TALENT YOU'LL BRING
  • At least three years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience managing website development, preferably with Magento 2, across front and back-end.
  • Strong eCommerce and development management skills.
  • Track record of delivering digital projects successfully.
  • Experience managing third-party agencies or developers.
  • Good understanding of development methodologies.
  • Ability to manage Magento catalogues via CSV.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in teams.
  • Accountable, proactive, and enthusiastic about ownership.
  • Meticulous, positive team player, confident communicator.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Advanced Magento knowledge.
  • Additional skills such as Jira, GTM, Google Analytics & DataStudio, Netsuite, UI/UX testing, AWS, JavaScript, HTML, and PHP are advantageous but not essential.
