Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking an Ecologist / Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) to provide specialist ecological advice and site-based support across infrastructure projects in England and Wales. The role involves guiding ecological risk management on live sites and coordinating with project teams to ensure compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Ecology or related discipline.
• Professional membership of CIEEM or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of ecology legislation in England & Wales.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Act as ECoW for construction activities requiring ecological supervision.
• Undertake pre-construction ecological checks and surveys.
• Provide ecological watching briefs during sensitive works.
• Identify ecological constraints and advise on controls.
• Maintain records of inspections and actions.
• Collaborate with project teams to implement mitigation.
