Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Cardiac Physiologist with echocardiography experience for the Cardiac Investigations team at Southmead Hospital. The post involves six-day, 8:00am–6:00pm patterns, 37.5 hours per week, and a fixed-term of 13 months starting January 2027.

Essential requirements include a BSc in Cardiac Physiology and an accredited echocardiography qualification (BSE or equivalent); RCCP or AHCS registration is required, and HCPC registration is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in echocardiography required.
• Rotations through catheter laboratories and non-invasive testing may occur.
• RCCP or AHCS registration is essential; HCPC registration desirable.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through cardiology areas to maintain and develop skills.
• Perform and interpret echocardiography under supervision as required.
• Support device follow-up and remote monitoring where applicable.
• Contribute to a multidisciplinary team in a busy hospital setting.
