Job summary

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two Highly Specialist Echo Cardiac Physiologists or Scientists at Band 7. The role focuses on transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography and related cardiac investigations within the Cardiac Investigation Unit.

The post holder will support CIU expansion, training and service development while contributing to MDT activities and CPD. The department offers modern facilities, a range of echo modalities, flexible working options and opportunities

Qualifications

• Formal training/qualifications equivalent to Healthcare Scientist Practitioner degree level, including BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology.
• BSE accreditation (TTE level 2)
• ILS certification
• RCCP/AHCS registration
• Demonstration of academic interest

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic echocardiography with physiologist-led stress (exercise) echo and bubble studies.
• Participate in stress (pharmacological) echo, contrast echo and TOE.
• Provide support to other CIU service areas (non-invasive, PCI or CRM) as agreed.
• Engage in service management activities: quality assurance, planning and workforce planning.
• Attend and contribute to CPD and departmental development meetings.
