Job summary

Valley Vets is seeking an experienced ECC Veterinary Surgeon for nights at Valley Veterinary Hospital. The role supports a busy out-of-hours service across approximately 40 local practices, with a large team of nurses and support staff.

You will manage diverse medical and surgical emergencies within a collaborative hospital setting. The position offers permanent or fixed-term contracts with a rota of 7 nights on / 7 nights off, aiming for work‑life balance and a substantial caseload to develop

Are you an experienced ECC Veterinary Surgeon looking for an exciting new challenge where your skills can truly make an impact?

Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking a confident and capable ECC vet to join our dedicated night team. As a busy emergency hospital providing out-of-hours services to approximately40 local practices, we see a varied and rewarding caseload, offering the opportunity to manage complex medical and surgical cases and develop your clinical expertise.

This role would suit an experienced ECC clinician who is confident managing cases independently while also enjoying the support of a highly skilled and collaborative team. During your shifts, you will work alongside other experienced vets, supported by a large team ofRegistered Veterinary Nurses, Animal Care Assistants, and a dedicated reception team.

Due to the nature of our caseload, strong clinical decision-making, confidence in emergency situations, and previous ECC experience are essential.

The Role:
  • Permanent and Fixed Term contracts available
  • 7 nights on / 7 nights off rota
  • Average46.25 hours per week
  • Part time patterns available (7 nights on/21 nights off)
