Position

We are seeking a Channel Trading Assistant to join our team at our Head Office in Richmond.

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure optimal stock levels in our stores and concession partners to drive sales and profitability. Conduct in-depth analysis to identify risks and opportunities by channel.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Collate weekly reports with actionable insights to enhance performance in our stores and concessions.
2. Provide regular feedback to the product Merchandising team on stock levels, highlighting opportunities and risks.
3. Understand the product collection thoroughly and influence ranging, tiering, grading, marketing, stock, and visual merchandising opportunities.
4. Own tiering and grading, collaborating with the product Merchandising team on product ranging, allocation planning, and stock actions.
5. Provide commercial planning information for new store openings, closures, and relocations, supported by ongoing performance analysis.
6. Act as the primary contact for store communication, including weekly calls and store visits with area managers.
7. Manage stock consolidations to maximize sell-through.
8. Support stock decisions related to One Stock, Outlets, and third-party/sample sales.
9. Review trading calendars to ensure store stock levels are appropriate.
10. Hold weekly calls with concession partners to discuss performance and opportunities.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

1. Minimum of 2 years experience in Branch/Channel Merchandising or a similar role.
2. Strong numerical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
3. Good understanding of brand positioning, competitor awareness, and customer insights by market.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills.
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
7. Team player with a supportive attitude towards department objectives.
8. Proficient in Excel and computer literacy.
