Job description

Helô! We’re Hafren Dyfrdwy, one of the 11 regulated water and wastewater companies in England and Wales. We serve over 100,000 homes and businesses across Mid and North Wales, and our enduring focus is on delivering for our customers, both now and for generations to come.

Employing over 130 people, we’re a local company based in Wrexham and Powys. From providing clean water every time our customers turn on the tap to returning it to rivers even cleaner than we took it, we are proud to take care of one of life’s essentials.

We are passionate about ensuring the future well-being of generations in our region and Wales as a whole. Supporting the well-being goals is central to our strategy. There really is something for everyone here.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Within our forward-thinking Customer Network Operations department, you have the chance to join as a Workflow Management Technician. You’ll mainly be responsible for workforce planning for our operational staff, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, scheduling, and keeping our customers updated. If you have a planning background, this may be just the job for you!

You’ll be involved in daily activities such as working on our systems (SAP) to build, plan & dispatch gang and field technician jobs. You’ll also liaise directly with customers, making and taking calls with stakeholders to provide the best service in a timely manner.

As our new Workflow Management Technician, you will participate in team meetings (called CommCells), where you can present ideas or improvements, becoming a part of our continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Reactively building and allocating urgent and planned work to deliver an effective and efficient work schedule for all areas of HD Operations, optimizing resource use and maintaining productivity.
  2. Liaising with COSC and Field Teams to update workload volumes and job progress.
  3. Planning jobs and communicating with customers and field staff within SLA’s. Managing the ‘on the day’ schedule, including jobs in jeopardy, suspended work, and customer chases.
  4. Keeping customers informed on progress, advising of changes, and minimizing customer chases through proactive communication.
  5. Building relationships with external customers, Quality Assurance, and Field teams, working collaboratively to ensure quality throughout the process.
  6. Ensuring compliance with processes and procedures, such as TMA, and meeting team performance targets and SLA’s.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

Working here isn’t just a job. You can build a career at Hafren Dyfrdwy.

We offer a range of benefits recognizing great work and award-winning training to help you reach your potential.

We’ll also support your role in caring for the environment and communities where we live.

Some of our perks include:

  • Salary: £30,322
  • 23 days holiday
  • Annual bonus scheme (up to £1,500 based on performance)
  • Leading pension scheme – we double your contribution (up to 8% if you contribute 4%)
  • Sharesave – buy Severn Trent Plc shares at a discounted rate
  • Family-friendly policies
