Maintenance Technician & Driver

Location: Outskirts of East Grinstead

Salary: Up to 30,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (potential overtime and Saturdays at premium rates)

Driving Licence is essential

Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with a leading plant tool hire company that supplies a range of power tools, small plant machinery, and temporary site cabins throughout the Southeast of England.

The company is based on the outskirts of East Grinstead; therefore, applicants must have a valid driving license.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, close-knit team, make the role your own, and receive great support and training.

Daily tasks include:

1. Checking returned tools, cleaning, maintaining, and preparing for next hire
2. Repairing damaged equipment (mechanical and electrical) and reporting major issues
3. Preparing cabins for delivery to clients
4. Delivering equipment to client premises (by van or towing)
5. Conducting PAT testing on electrical appliances
6. Operating materials handling equipment (forklifts) and moving equipment around the site
7. Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth depot operations

Applicants are not required to have experience in all areas; however, relevant crossover experience is beneficial. Full training and support will be provided.

Key qualities include a willingness to learn, a practical mindset, and a team-oriented approach to work.

Full, valid driving license with no more than 6 points is essential.
