Pembrokeshire County Council is seeking a focussed, dynamic planning ecologist with excellent communication skills to support development that enhances the built and natural environment in Pembrokeshire.
The post holder will provide specialist advice on ecology within the land use planning process, ensuring compliance with legislation and policy, and engaging with external stakeholders.
Applicants need a degree in ecology or a related subject, with relevant experience. Knowledge of legislation such as the Habitats Regulations and planning guidance is essential. The candidate should be articulate, self-motivated, organized, and highly computer literate, including proficiency in GIS and databases.
This is a part-time maternity cover position, likely ending in August 2024. Hours depend on experience and costs. Home-based working will be considered.
