Job summary

TÜV SÜD in East Kilbride is seeking an EC&I Technician to support and maintain our electrical infrastructure, including 415V motors, control panels, and instrumentation.

You will work hands-on on site, test and sign off installations, coordinate contractor activity, and ensure drawings and records are accurate and up to date.

This role is a practical maintenance position with a focus on reliability, safety, and documenting everything for future reference.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Instrumentation apprenticeship completed.
• 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification.
• Experience on 415V equipment including motors and control panels.
• Strong maintenance and fault-finding on established plant.
• AutoCAD skills to produce and maintain electrical drawings.
• Documentation discipline and record-keeping.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and permits to work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
• Work on 415V equipment including motors, starters, isolators and distribution boards.
• Fault finding across electrical systems, instrumentation, PLCs and HMIs.
• Produce/update electrical drawings and P&IDs in AutoCAD.
• Maintain asset records, panel schedules and test records.
• Support commissioning of new installations and document testing.
• Coordinate contractors on site, including permits to work and sign-off.
• Carry out minor installation and modification works.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met.
