TÜV SÜD is seeking an EC&I Technician for our East Kilbride site to maintain and support electrical infrastructure. You’ll work hands-on with 415V equipment, assist commissioning, and ensure accurate documentation and drawings are kept up to date.
The role focuses on maintenance rather than design, with opportunities to develop skills in PLCs, HMIs and instrumentation within a collaborative engineering team.
At TÜV SÜD we are passionate about technology. Innovations impact our daily lives in countless ways, and we are dedicated to being a part of that progress. We test, we audit, we inspect, we advise. We never stop challenging ourselves for the safety of society and its people. We breathe technology, we strive for professional excellence, and we leave a mark. We take the future into our hands. We are TÜV SÜD.
Hands‑on electrical, control and instrumentation support across an established site.
Are you a time‑served electrician with instrumentation experience, looking for a role where you're on the tools, keeping real plant running, and no two days look the same?
We're recruiting an EC&I Technician to join our Engineering team in East Kilbride. This role is centred on supporting and maintaining our existing electrical infrastructure — 415V motors, control panels, distribution and instrumentation — and on making sure that infrastructure is properly documented, drawn and understood. You'll also play an important part when new equipment arrives on site: supporting commissioning, coordinating the contractors carrying out the work, and ensuring what gets installed is tested, signed off and accurately recorded.
This is a support and maintenance role rather than a design position — you'll be the person who knows the installed infrastructure inside out, keeps it running, and holds contractors to the right standard.
Someone who takes pride in their work, communicates clearly, and works well as part of a team. You'll need the attention to detail to keep drawings and records accurate and up to date, the confidence to hold contractors to standard, and you'll be equally comfortable with a set of tools in your hand.
