Job summary

TUV SUD Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking an EC&I Technician for its East Kilbride site.

The role focuses on maintaining and supporting electrical infrastructure, including 415V motors, panels and instrumentation, while ensuring accurate documentation and drawings. You will work hands-on, fault-find, and coordinate contractors, with opportunities to assist commissioning and build alongside an experienced Engineering team.

Qualifications

Recognised Electrical/Instrumentation apprenticeship completed.
Proven hands-on experience working on 415V equipment, motors and control panels.
Strong maintenance and fault-finding skills on established plant.
AutoCAD skills to produce and maintain electrical drawings and P&IDs.
Excellent documentation discipline and record keeping.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
Work with 415V equipment including motors, starters, distribution boards and panels.
Fault find and diagnose issues across electrical and instrumentation systems.
Produce and update drawings, schematics and P&IDs, with accurate as-built records.
Coordinate contractors on site, manage permits to work and safety checks.
Support commissioning of new installations and verify documentation.
Maintain asset records, panel schedules and maintenance logs.
Handle wiring, terminations and small installation tasks.
