Job summary

Pertemps Scotland in Glasgow is recruiting an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join the site maintenance team. The role focuses on day-to-day electrical and instrumentation maintenance, fault diagnosis, and safe operation of equipment across the plant.

You will carry out routine testing, install and commission equipment, maintain records, and support project work. A time-served electrical apprenticeship and at least 2 years in a chemically related process plant are required, with

Qualifications

Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical (City & Guilds / NVQ / BTEC / ONC).
At least 2 years’ maintenance experience in a chemically related process plant.
Good keyboard and computer skills.
Strong electrical and instrumentation knowledge and fault-finding ability.
Able to work effectively with colleagues, contractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

Maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment across the site.
Inspect, diagnose and repair faults and defects.
Carry out routine maintenance and testing of instrumentation equipment.
Install, test and inspect electrical installations with focus on safety and reliability.
Record installation dates, repairs and maintenance accurately.
Support site projects and contractors as required.
