Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company UK Ltd seeks an EC&I Engineer to join the Westlakes site in Cumbria, reporting to the Manager, Electrical, Control and I&C Integration. You will develop EC&I drawings, perform cable calculations, and ensure design deliverables meet internal and client procedures.

The role requires extensive EC&I design knowledge, strong documentation skills, and experience with Amtech, Dialux/Relux. You will contribute to technical files and project deliverables across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years' experience in industry with 2+ years at Engineer level.
• Nuclear industry or highly regulated sector preferred.
• Knowledge of EC&I design standards and regulations.
• Experience producing Technical Files for new products/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop EC&I drawings: block diagrams, single line diagrams.
• Produce cable calculations by hand or with Amtech; lighting calc in Dialux/Relux.
• Check others' work to ensure high quality and regulatory compliance.
• Create Basis of Design, Testing Strategies, Method Statements, etc.
• Own design deliverables through all project phases and CDM risk registers.
