Job summary
The Oil and Pipelines Agency is seeking an EC&I Technician to deliver reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution systems, motors, drives, switchgear and control instrumentation across Gosport OFD. Some UK travel and overtime may be required, with a clean UK driving licence essential.
Candidates should hold an engineering technician qualification with an approved Modern-Day Apprenticeship and NVQ 3 in electrical installation, plus 18th Edition and 2391 testing
Qualifications
- Requires Modern-Day Apprenticeship in electrical discipline.
- NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation is required.
- Two years' electrician experience prior to application.
- 18th Edition (BS7671) knowledge is essential.
- City & Guilds 2391 inspection/ testing qualification desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide Electrical Maintenance activities and technical support for day-to-day operations across the Oil Fuel Depots.
- Troubleshoot electrical maintenance issues and document resolutions.
- Complete routine inspections of electrical systems ensuring compliance to standards.
- Follow industry standards including COMAH, DSEAR, EAWR & HASAWA; training provided if needed.
- Complete tasks safely, on time, including fault investigation and repair scopes.
