Job summary

The Oil & Pipelines Agency in Gosport seeks an EC&I Technician to lead reactive and preventative maintenance across electrical distribution, motors, drives, switchgear and control systems. The role covers UK duties with occasional travel to other OFDs and overnight stays.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant Engineering Technician qualification and a modern-day apprenticeship, with proven EC&I maintenance experience and a strong safety record in hazardous environments.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance and testing.
Familiarity with instrumentation maintenance and control systems.
Experience operating in hazardous environments and under COMAH regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide Electrical Maintenance activities and technical support for day-to-day operations across Oil Fuel Depots.
Troubleshoot electrical maintenance and repair issues, document outcomes.
Complete routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with standards.
Follow industry standards (COMAH, DSEAR, EAWR, HASAWA) for electrical work.
Complete tasks safely, on time, including investigations and proactive/reactive maintenance.
Knowledge of instrument maintenance systems; training available as needed.
