Job summary

Exolum is recruiting an EC&I Technician for its Hallen operations to join the maintenance team. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical, control and instrumentation systems to ensure safe and efficient terminal and pipeline operations.

You will diagnose faults, calibrate instrumentation, and support safe, compliant activities while collaborating with contractors and internal teams. A proactive problem-solving approach and full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in industrial maintenance in high-hazard environments.
• Strong fault-finding and SCADA/DCS/PLC experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
• Support plant operations and maximise equipment availability through maintenance practices.
• Diagnose and repair faults on SCADA, DCS and PLC systems.
• Undertake instrumentation fault finding, repair, testing and calibration.
• Conduct inspection and testing of SIL/SIF systems and hazardous area equipment.
• Ensure maintenance activities are planned, documented and completed safely.
• Work closely with contractors and internal stakeholders on maintenance projects.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance procedure development.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations.

Outsource UK are recruiting on behalf of Exolum, a global leader in fuel storage and logistics, for a EC&I Technician to join their operations team at Hallen.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation that plays a vital role in the safe and efficient movement of fuel products.

The Role As an EC&I Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of terminal and pipeline assets. Working as part of the maintenance team, you'll carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities, fault-finding, inspections, testing, and calibration across a range of electrical, control and instrumentation systems.

You’ll help maximise equipment availability while ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Qualified in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, energy, fuel storage, COMAH or other high-hazard environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working with SCADA, DCS and PLC systems.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, calibration and inspection activities.
• Understanding of hazardous area equipment and safety-critical systems.
• Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
