Job summary

Adepto Technical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an EC&I Technician for a UK chemical manufacturing site in West Yorkshire. The role is a days position with a base salary of £48,155 plus overtime and excellent benefits.

You will operate maintenance across EC&I systems and participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota. The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 Electrical qualification or recognised apprenticeship, with industrial maintenance experience and EC&I fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical qualification or recognised apprenticeship.
• Industrial / process maintenance experience.
• Strong EC&I fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read electrical & instrumentation drawings.
• CompEX qualification (valid or expired considered).
• PLC / control loop experience (desirable).
• COMAH / hazardous area experience (desirable).
• Knowledge of BS60079 / 61508 / 61511 (desirable).
• CMMS experience (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and reliable operation of EC&I systems across site.
• Perform maintenance, fault finding, calibrations and improvement projects.
• Provide support for PLC, SCADA, DCS and hard-wired systems.
• Calibrate instrumentation equipment and test safety-critical alarms.
• Maintain electrical distribution (415V/240V/110V).
• Support site upgrades and installations.
• Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota with paid call-out rates.

Are you a EC&I Technician looking for a days opportunity within a highly regulated chemical manufacturing environment?

If you want to easily earn £55k - £60k+, join a well-established manufacturer where you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving critical plant systems.

The Role

Working within the central maintenance team, you'll be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across site. This is a varied role combining maintenance, fault finding, projects, calibrations, and continuous improvement.

Key Duties

• Planned preventative maintenance across EC&I systems


• Fault finding and breakdown response to minimise downtime


• Support PLC, SCADA, DCS and hard-wired systems


• Calibration of instrumentation equipment


• Functional testing of safety systems and critical alarms


• Electrical distribution maintenance (415V / 240V / 110V)


• Support site upgrades, installations and improvement projects


• Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rota (paid additional call-out rates)

What We're Looking For:

Essential

• Level 3 Electrical qualification or recognised apprenticeship


• Industrial / process maintenance experience

Desirable
