Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking an EC&I Technical Lead to join the Reactor EC&I Chief Engineering team in Derby. You will manage the SSNA EC&I design, govern engineering processes and drive safety commitments across SSNA EC&I products.

The role reports to the EC&I Assistant Chief Engineer and involves engineering governance, risk management and strong leadership within a regulated environment. The position offers hybrid working with a mix of site attendance and remote collaboration, and requires UK

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical & electronics, aerospace or equivalent STEM based degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical programme management and engineering leadership of the EC&I engineering teams; ensure compliance with product safety policies and engineering processes.
• Use systems engineering to capture, document and communicate EC&I requirements with traceability across enterprise, business/product and components layers.
• Lead and support EC&I design to deliver technical attributes including availability, delivery confidence and sustainment.
• Define IPTs scope to ensure EC&I system/sub-system solutions align with project requirements and verification.
• Manage EC&I technical risk to keep business and programme risk at acceptable levels.
• Provide technical leadership and issue resolution to system, sub-system and product design teams.
• Maintain effective interface management between EC&I R&T and Strategic Capability for new technology integration.
• Represent EC&I Assistant Chief Engineer as required.
• Assist in assuring product safety through compliant processes and closure strategies.
