Job summary

Assystem, a leading nuclear engineering group, is hiring an Engineering Manager for the EC&I department to lead design and delivery of SMR projects. You will coordinate across EC&I, manage safety-critical programmes, and drive on-time, on-budget outcomes with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires strong EC&I background, experience in regulated industries, and leadership to align resources and budgets. Hybrid work is available with 1-2 days remote per week, and you will meet UK security

Qualifications

Experience in EC&I design and management within highly regulated industries.
Knowledge of control systems, design phases and life cycle stages.
Leadership of teams and delivery of complex, safety-critical programmes.

Responsibilities

Develop EC&I technical programmes covering the entire product lifecycle.
Plan tasks meticulously, accounting for dependencies from other areas.
Foster seamless collaboration across work areas to deliver integrated solutions.
Monitor tasks closely and implement protocols to adjust programme scopes as needed.
Identify resource gaps and assist the CDE in crafting resourcing strategies.
Help establish and maintain budgets for EC&I programmes.
Track work pack budgets, forecast, and monitor actual costs versus projections.
Manage programme risks, including threats and opportunities.
Oversee and optimize resource allocation for contract staff.
