Job summary

Technical Partners is recruiting for an EC&I Project Engineer to join the Liverpool Fluids site. This is a project-focused role, emphasizing controls and automation across PLC, SCADA, MES and instrumentation to enhance manufacturing performance.

You will own electrical/controls projects, support production, and help shape the site’s automation capabilities as technology and systems advance. A strong background in process manufacturing is essential.

Qualifications

HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Strong controls and automation background.
Experience with PLCs, VSDs, SCADA, instrumentation, calibration and MCCs.
Experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems.
Exposure to AVEVA, SCADA and MES.
Experience managing engineering projects, suppliers and technical documentation.
Excellent communication skills with technicians, engineers, operators and senior stakeholders.
Experience in chemical/pharma/process manufacturing desirable.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of electrical, control, automation and instrumentation systems.
Provide technical support across PLC, SCADA, MES, process control and instrumentation systems.
Identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
Manage engineering improvement projects from concept to handover.
Review technical designs, specifications and drawings.
Support powder-blending and pilot-plant projects.
Work with suppliers and system integrators to deliver projects.
Improve OEE and manufacturing performance through automation and system integration.
Maintain technical documentation, SOPs and work instructions.
Develop EC&I capability with technicians across the site.
Collaborate with process engineering, maintenance, operations, SHEQ and site leadership.
