Our client is a franchised commercial dealership seeking to recruit a fully qualified Vehicle Technician. The package will vary based on experience – £24,000 – £36,000 including bonus.

Hours: 8am – 5:30pm with half an hour lunch (this will change to 8am – 6pm with a 1-hour lunch in the sprint)

Every third Saturday: 8am – 1pm

Key Responsibilities of Commercial Vehicle Technician:

• Undertake maintenance, service, and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standard within scheduled times, meeting company and franchise standards.
• Repair, test vehicles, and diagnose faults as required by the Service Manager and supervisory staff.
• Replace components, parts, lubricants, and consumables; record usage.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, organized, and safe from hazards.
• Complete work effectively within manufacturers’ servicing and repair times.
• Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing requirements, including future servicing/repair needs.

The Ideal Commercial Vehicle Technician:

• Qualified to Diagnostic or Technician level, preferably as a commercial vehicle technician.
• At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a franchise dealership or similar.
• Responsible for the quality and quantity of their work.
