Job Description:

Ready to shape the voice of a world-leading arts institution?

We’re proudly exclusively partnering with The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (Central) on a senior key hire. We're looking for a strategic and inspiring leader to take the reins with our prestigious client, as their Head of Marketing and Communications. This is your opportunity to define how they tell their story — and make sure the world hears it.

Why Should You Apply?

As Head of Marketing and Communications, you’ll be at the forefront of building Centrals reputation as a global centre for excellence in the Performing and Production Arts. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver bold, creative, and high-impact strategies across digital, print, media, and internal communications.

Your work will directly support the School’s growth, engagement, and influence — locally, nationally, and internationally. From shaping our brand and managing our channels to overseeing press and crisis communications, you’ll have the scope and support to make a meaningful, measurable impact.

This is a senior leadership role where you’ll collaborate with the Principal’s Office, senior leaders, funders, students, alumni, and industry partners to amplify our mission and tell powerful stories that resonate.

What We Are Looking For

We’re seeking a visionary marketing and communications professional with the experience, energy, and leadership to take our messaging to the next level. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A proven track record in delivering integrated marketing and communications strategies in a complex organisation — preferably in the arts, education, public or third sector.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing high-performing teams and cross-organisational initiatives.
  • A deep understanding of multi-channel communications — from social media and digital campaigns to media relations and internal comms.
  • The ability to translate complex or creative ideas into clear, compelling narratives for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience with budget management, performance measurement, and strategy development.
  • Knowledge of data protection and communications compliance frameworks.
  • A collaborative and people-focused mindset, with excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • A genuine passion for education, the arts, and widening access for underrepresented communities.

If you’re a confident communicator, creative thinker, and natural leader with a commitment to excellence — this could be your next great move.
